Ayomide Adeleye, who confessed to killing his neighbor and friend, Christianah Idowu, is reportedly not in any Lagos correctional facility, according to findings by FIJ. Initially arrested in September and remanded by court order, rumors of his release surfaced in December, sparking concerns about the case’s progress.

Investigations revealed that two individuals named Ayomide Adeleye were previously in custody at Ikoyi and Kirikiri Medium prisons but have since been released, with no murder charges linked to their records. Efforts to clarify the situation with the police and Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) have been inconclusive, as officials either failed to respond or provided limited information.

Adeleye, a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, confessed to the murder of Christianah, a Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta student. Despite a remand warrant issued by the Ogba Magistrate Court in September, his current whereabouts remain unknown, raising questions about the handling of the case.
