National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has refuted allegations by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that he is behind El-Rufai’s troubles with anti-graft agencies and the Kaduna State House of Assembly. El-Rufai claimed Ribadu was targeting perceived political obstacles to a 2031 presidential bid.
In response, Ribadu stated he is too focused on national security to engage in media disputes and has never spoken ill of El-Rufai out of respect for their past association. He denied any presidential aspirations and urged the public to disregard El-Rufai’s claims, emphasizing that his priority remains supporting President Tinubu’s administration.
