PDP Summons Wike Over ‘Anti-Party Activities’: Disciplinary Action Looms

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to face its disciplinary committee over alleged anti-party

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to face its disciplinary committee over alleged anti-party activities. The PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, announced this on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Wike has been called to appear before the Tom Ikimi-led disciplinary committee, which was established by the party’s National Working Committee to address allegations of party sabotage. The committee will review petitions accusing Wike and other members of undermining the party, particularly during the primary elections.

Abdullahi criticized Wike’s recent comments about “putting fire in their states,” referring to PDP governors, calling the remarks “disappointing and unacceptable.” Wike’s statements come amid his expressed satisfaction with serving in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, despite ongoing criticisms and threats against PDP governors in Rivers State.
