PDP governorship candidate and former Ondo deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, has heavily criticized INEC’s handling of the election, claiming the process was compromised.
After voting at Polling Unit 004 in Ese-Ado LGA, Ajayi expressed frustration over delays, saying, “It took them more than 10 minutes to capture me… The system is not perfect, things are not working.”
He alleged deliberate inefficiency by INEC, accusing Ondo’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Oluwatoyin Babalola, of bias. Ajayi also cited widespread complaints about vote-buying and faulty BVAS machines, calling the election “a very shameful exercise.”
The PDP candidate urged INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu to resign, stating, “If you cannot do the job, please just honourably resign. This is embarrassing.”
