President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his landslide victory in the Ondo State gubernatorial election. Aiyedatiwa secured 366,781 votes, defeating Ajayi Agboola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes.
Tinubu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its efficient conduct of the polls, including uploading over 98% of results on the same day. He also praised the peaceful campaigns and maturity demonstrated by all 17 candidates.
Addressing dissatisfied candidates, Tinubu urged them to resolve grievances through the judiciary. “The President encourages those with concerns to explore the judicial system for redress,” his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said.
