As the Ondo State governorship election approaches on November 16, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of planning to incite violence during the polls. Ayo Fadaka, Special Adviser to the PDP Campaign Organisation, issued a statement urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene and caution Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa against using state resources to compromise security.
The PDP also called on the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies to prevent any attempts to breach the peace.
However, APC’s Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, dismissed the claims as baseless, insisting that the governor remains committed to peace and security in the state. He urged the PDP to focus on policy-driven campaigns instead of unfounded accusations.
