INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu has committed to addressing issues from past elections in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, scheduled for November 16. During a visit to assess INEC’s readiness, Yakubu emphasized lessons learned, especially regarding the early opening of polling units and result collation.
“We’ve learned from previous elections and are ready to improve,” Yakubu stated, assuring voters that election logistics and result management will be more efficient. To ensure preparedness, INEC will conduct mock voter accreditation in select polling units and engage with stakeholders to promote a peaceful, credible election.
