The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 23 chairmanship and 255 councillorship seats in Kaduna State’s local government elections, according to the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM). Chairperson Hajara Mohammed announced the results, with eight political parties participating. The APC secured victories across all 23 local government areas, including Kaduna North, Chikun, and Zaria.
Governor Uba Sani expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the elections, calling them “free, fair, and peaceful,” with only minor issues in a few polling units. The Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) also praised the transparency of the process despite some delays in voting materials.
