Around 3:30 PM this afternoon, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrived at a hotel in Benin City to arrest witnesses associated with Asue Ighodalo. The action was reportedly carried out without an arrest warrant, case, or petition.
While the reasons behind the EFCC’s actions remain unclear, it is yet to be determined if this development is linked to the ongoing gubernatorial election tribunal case involving the PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo.
