Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate in Edo State, has pledged to provide interest-free loans to traders if elected in the upcoming September 21 election. Speaking to traders at the New Building Materials Sellers Association on Cook Road, Benin City, Okpebholo emphasized the importance of traders to the economy and promised to fulfill his commitment as soon as he becomes governor.
Okpebholo also assured the traders that he would assist in constructing the association’s secretariat on land donated by the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa II. He urged residents to vote for the APC, promising to deliver the “dividends of democracy” and work diligently for the people of Edo State.
Matthew Urhoghide, Director General of the APC Campaign Council, reinforced Okpebholo’s promises, highlighting his dedication to improving the lives of Edo citizens. In response, Nonso Ibeh, president of the traders’ association, expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s commitment, hoping for the fulfillment of the promised support.
