The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, emphasized the importance of government revenue to provide social services during the Abuja Business and Investment Summit. Addressing attendees, Wike stated, “The government needs money. That’s why the government says pay your tax; it’s very important.”
Wike highlighted the need for effective partnerships, criticizing past private-sector collaborations that failed to generate returns for the government. He underscored that taxes and successful investments are essential for the government to fulfill its responsibilities to citizens.
